An Invitation to a Georgian Christmas with Mr Adams the Butler

LECTURE WITH LUNCH and LECTURE ONLY TICKETS SOLD OUT
Join us throughout the year for a series of enthralling lectures followed by a two-course hot lunch in the Danson tearoom. Afterwards, enjoy a chance to explore the house with a guided tour and indulge in the gift shop. There will be a limited number of tickets for the lecture only (no tour included) at £10 per person.
Mr Adams delights in explaining the ‘honours of the table’, the complex processes and etiquette associated with food and dining as well as traditions, customs and practices associated with Christmas as it was celebrated in the late Georgian and Regency period. Tales of rich foods and festivities are complemented by seasonal products and decorations. Choice of lunch must be selected at the time of booking
Order for the day for all Lectures with Lunch:
Arrive at Danson at 11am for coffee, followed at 11.30am by the lecture. Lunch will be served at 1pm, with coffee. At 2.30pm there will be a guided tour of the house. The gift shop, stocked with excellent gifts and books will remain open until 4pm.

A: Meatballs in tomato sauce, served with buttered mash and seasonal vegetables
B: Roast pork chop, roast potatoes and vegetables
C: Stuffed aubergines, served with roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables
D: Rice pudding
E: Plum and apple crumble with hot custard
