Experience the dazzling and enchanting world of an 18th century Masquerade Ball held in the rich decadence of Danson House.
Be a welcome guest for a magical night of lavish Georgian merriment and dancing in the stunning surroundings of the historic house, a house designed for parties and celebration.
The unique and unforgettable evening will begin with a champagne reception in the charmingly decorated Entrance Hall. Then, wrapped in the mystery of one’s own mask; you’ll dance in the midst of other masks with our company of dancers, who will delight you with a succession of elegant formal minuets as well as entice you to join them in relaxed, simple and lively informal dances or “contradanses”.
After supper guests will be able to try their hand at Georgina card and hazard games whilst being entertained by the Danson Organ.
Throughout the evening unlimited Georgian rum punch, white wine and a non-alcoholic punch will be served. A buffet supper of authentic Georgian delicacies will be prepared for your delectation.
Tickets include all refreshments and entertainment. To add to the atmosphere staff and entertainers will be in costume. If you’d like to dress up let us know and we’ll send you details of costumiers. If not, just put on your party frock – but don’t forget a mask to add to the excitement and mystery.
